Membership Application
The Association of Schools of Construction SA (PTY) Ltd offers two (2) categories of membership, namely individual and organisational membership
Individual Membership
Any person who has
1.1 completed a recognised tertiary qualification in any Built Environment field of study and has completed a minimum of 2 years subsequent construction experience;
Or
1.2 a minimum of 8 years managerial experience in any of the built environment professions may apply for individual membership on the prescribed form.
Organisational Membership
Institutional Members
Any Department in any field of study in the Built Environment in a Higher Education/Tertiary Institution may apply for membership on the prescribed form. The Head of such a Department must complete the form giving his/her details as well as the details of the department and the levels of study offered in the department.
Industry Members
Any Built Environment consulting, training and/or contracting entity may apply for membership on the prescribed form. The principal or owner must complete the form giving his details as well as the details of the entity and the field of speciality of the entity.
Government Members
Any government department or agency that reports to a government department may apply for membership on the prescribed form. The Head of the Department, Director-General or Registrar must complete the form giving his/her details as well as the details of the department or agency.
Annual Subscriptions
Members are invoiced for the membership fee appropriate to their category of membership, usually in September of the prior year. Annual fees are proposed by the ASOCSA Board and approved by the ASOCSA Council at the Annual General Meeting each year.

Introductory Discount Offer
From 2026 a reduction is offered of a 25% for new African individual and institutional members as an introductory offer for the first year of membership.
New memberships in any category joining after July 1st in the year will cover the period until the end of the next year on a pro rata basis.
Payments
Membership fees are usually invoiced in September ahead of the applicable calendar year, and expire on December 31st at the end of the year, and are automatically renewed each calendar year, unless a cancellation notice is provided three months in advance, ie by July 1st. Payments can be made via Bank transfers (the banking information is noted on the invoice) or by credit card via our online payment page the link to which will be provided on invoice.
Membership Application
To become an ASOCSA Member please complete the application form below. Please do not use this form unless you intend to apply for membership. Please use this link if you wish to make an enquiry or need more assistance.
Once your application is received, it will be acknowledged, and then considered by the board of ASOCSA. Provisional acceptance will then be notified to you, subject to receipt of payment of your first subscription invoice.
